Heather has newly been promoted to our General Manager for Saratoga National Golf Club and Prime at Saratoga National under the Mazzone Hospitality/Compass Group umbrella. Heather began at Saratoga National as the Restaurant Manager. Heather brings almost 30 years in the restaurant business to Prime at Saratoga National. She has owned 3 restaurants and 3 food trucks and has consulted at some of the best establishments in the North Country. When she is not at Prime, you will find her spending quality time with her two sons, Colin & Brody, and husband, Jerrod.
She loves to eat at Nove, enjoy Battle Hill Brewing and Farmacy Restaurant in Glens Falls, NY.
She enjoys spending time on Glen Lake with her family, Lake Placid and traveling in general!
Marketing Manager for Mazzone Hospitality
Born and raised in Saratoga, Devin took influence from her dad’s architectural drawings and became an illustrator early in life. She followed that passion to get her Graphic Design / Marketing Management Bachelor’s degree from State University of New York at Cortland.
While still in college, Devin began working events for Saratoga National, moving from Marketing Coordinator to Marketing Manager. She has been an invaluable resource over her 11-year career with Angelo Mazzone, helping build the brand of Prime at Saratoga National Golf Club. Today she oversees marketing for both Mazzone Hospitality and Saratoga National Golf Club.
Devin loves going out to eat, especially for a Spicy Margarita and a Cowboy Steak. Mexican cuisine is another favorite. She constantly has her eye out for the competition, taking notes on (a marketing crush) STK Steakhouse’s brand and web presence, among others, while enjoying dining. When not at work, Devin can be found snowboarding the Northeast and enjoying summers on Lake George.
Sales Manager – Weddings and Social Events
Laura comes to Mazzone Hospitality with a love for Upstate NY and a desire to build client experiences. Being a true Italian, food has forever been an important part of her family! As a child, she spent a lot of time at Romano’s in Clifton Park, a restaurant operated by her grandparents.
She launched her hospitality career at the Pavilion Grand Hotel in Saratoga where she spent 3 years putting together events for upscale clients. She then helped Photographer David Bigler build a new arm of his business. Now she is excited to build all-inclusive experiences for clients of Mazzone Hospitality.
Laura has always been one of Prime at Saratoga National’s biggest fans. She also loves The Adelphi and The Red Salt Room by David Burke at the Garden City Hotel. One of her favorite foods is a family classic – Chicken Carmella, a combination of Roasted Chicken, Penne Pasta, Peas, and Prosciutto.
When not at work she is almost always with her dogs and horses, either riding or at the track!
Corporate and Golf Events Planner
Kristi Kempf graduated from St. Bonaventure University majoring in Business Management. She started her career in the production department for sports magazines in Chicago. Originally from Saratoga Springs, Kristi moved back to NY to be closer to family.
She started with Mazzone in June 2010 at Saratoga National Golf Club as a banquet server. She quickly became a bridal attendant and was promoted to captain and then Event Manager.
Most recently, Kristi has joined the sales team with the responsibility of handling all catering details for golf events and outings. Kristi loves seeing an event come together and the faces of our clients when they see what we’ve done for them.
With over 13 years of experience working Banquets and Off-Premise Events, Nick Raco joined Saratoga National Golf Club in May 2016 as Banquet Manager. He started in the hospitality field with Classe Catering in 2005 as a Banquet Server, becoming the Director of Operations a couple years later.
Following Mazzone Hospitality’s acquisition of Classe Catering in January of 2013, Nick then became part of Mazzone Hospitality’s Off-Premise team as a Warehouse Supervisor. Over the next few years, he learned much as he worked throughout Mazzone Hospitality’s numerous companies, including Glen Sanders Mansion, Hilton Garden Inn, and the Hall of Springs.
In Spring 2015, he graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Schenectady Community College. Nick’s greatest enjoyment from managing events is the sincere appreciation of our clients for fulfilling their special day.
